Eighth and last day in Turkey. D;
*sighs*
No photos for this post, sorry. Was being emotional on that day. :(
I woke up quite early in the morning and felt like crap because that day was the parting day for us. I was insanely moody and I can't get over the fact that we're going back to Malaysia.
Had cereals for breakfast and went to the lobby to Facebook.
After that we had around 4 hours of free time so we walked to Taksim Square, a shopping mall, near our hotel, to shop. Manns that place rocks! The SALE word was everywhere! :O
Heavenly!!!
Who says shopping is no good for the soul?
It made me forget everything and I was happy temporarily.
So I say it's good for the soul. :)
Everything were cheap but they were winter wear. Not suitable for wear in Malaysia. :O
And time was limited!!! :(
I didn't buy much because I had not enough time!! :(
We left the hotel around 11.30am, went to the airport, checked in, had Burger King for lunch and boarded the plane. Surprisingly it was a 10 hours flight!
It was a long and SAD flight home. *sighs*
And that concludes the whole of my Turkey trip. :(

Seventh day in Turkey (18/12/09)
Please start reading from the first post here.
It's better that way!
Seventh day, the second last day in Turkey! :(
We woke up early on that day, had our breakfast, took some photos, and continued our journey to Istanbul from Bolu.
During breakfast, I got to chat with some people back in Kuching. So happy! :D
This photo was not photoshopped. The mist is real! :O
On the bus, WE discovered that both our tour guides are Facebook users!! When the bus made a coffee stop, we pestered Cihan to give us his email address for his Facebook account.
He asked us to guess his email and I answered 'Is your email cihan@hotmail.com?' because that was the first thing that came into my mind. And that was suppose to be a joke.
Cihan's friend, Zane's tour guide, was dumbfounded because I got his email half correct! I'm smart, LOL! :D
He gave us his email and all of us desperately used the faint WiFi signal to access Facebook and added him.
And the journey continues......
Long long journey in the bus. Listened to songs on my phone and iPod until there was no more songs for me to listen. We reached Istanbul ahead of schedule.
The Korean restaurant where we were having our lunch wasn't ready yet so we walked the streets of Istanbul and took some photos.
Random photos of random buildings.
Love the coloured lamps. So pretty.
Turkey's flag.
We spotted this grumpy cat and he was the size of Janice! :O
Our tour guide outside our restaurant. :)
We were having Korean food in Turkey for lunch. HAHAHA!
Chinese tea.
I never did like Chinese tea even though I'm Chinese.
Don't know why.
Hagia Sophia museum.
The Blue Mosque.
After lunch it was to the Grand Bazaar for us.
One of the mosque.
Main entrance of the Grand Bazaar.
After the Grand Bazaar, we had two options, one was to cruise on the Bosphorus Sea and the other was to go back to the hotel. I chose the cruise. The Bosphorus Sea is located in between Asia and Europe, separating both continents. Similarly, we were in between two continents when we were on the cruise. :)
Photos! Enjoy. :)
It was horribly cold because the winds were strong and it was drizzling.
This whole cruise ship was ours!
Had Turkish Apple Tea on board.
Tasted like hot apple juice but nicer.
Enjoying the scenery while sipping our apple tea.
While having our Apple Tea, we tried out each other's camera and I absolutely love Huixin's DSLR shutter click! Her DSLR rocks when it comes to portrait shots. :D
Even the close-up photo of the Apple Tea in her camera is sharper.
No matter what, I still love my camera!!
Huixin!
Using my brother's phone to camwhore. (:
Restaurants. Love the lightings of the restaurant.
After the cruise, we made our way to the Spice Market.
We bought loads of foodstuff from this Cikita shop.
Rows and rows of (extremely sweet) food.
Spices.
Turkish delight!
Free sampling for all the food in the shop. :D
Some greedy people just can't sampling the food when they're in the shop. ==
I can't believe I'm saying this but it was fun in there!
Especially with the uncle who can't stop sampling everything in the shop. :D Hilarious!!
After buying food, we went souvenir hunting.
Souvenirs sold in the spice market is much cheaper you know!!
Righhhtttt.......
Love!
We went back to our hotel and got ready for our last meal in Turkey. We're gonna watch some belly dancing too! :)
And that night was Cihan's last night with us. :(
Huixin and Cihan at the hotel lobby.
Me and him.
Gosh my hair is so dry that it resembles black hay!
Dark photo of Huixin because Cihan closed my flash when it popped up.
Being happy about it. ==
That's more like it.
There's WiFi in the lobby as you can see she's using her iPhone to access the internet.
Most probably she's logged into her Facebook.
At the nightclub. :)
Chandelier at the nightclub (place where we were having our last meal).
No idea why is it called a nightclub.
As this was our last proper Turkish meal, I must take photos of every dish.
This was the appetizer, Tuna salad.
I thought it was chicken at first because of the texture and also because there was no fishy tuna smell.
Yummy! Except for the vege in it.
Malaysian and Turkish flag.
Pastry with cheese in the middle..
Ughhhhhh. Vegetable Salad.
It was so gross I ate only the cheese and corn!!
Our first belly dancer of the night.
Main course. :D
After that it was 4 men folk dancing.
That was funny, awkward, boring, uninteresting and weird at the same time.
The one thing we find interesting was the back of their pants!
Joel thought the back of their pants were cute.
I said they look like diapers!
Second chubbier belly dancer.
I thought she was pregnant!! :O
Actually she's just plump.
We used to do this to our flowy ballet skirt in class and pretend we are some Indian dancers doing Barathanatyam... ==
Another folk dance. Kinda boring too.
Ice cream with fruits for dessert!
Yum yum!
And then it was the Asena's turn. FYI, she's the famous belly dancer in Turkey.
Looks like a man in wig, seriously!
Then it was three men folk dancing.
This was interesting because on of them went en pointe without pointe shoes and wowed the crowd!!
So crazy!
And don't underestimate the fat man on the left. He can spin on his knees with knee pads!
And the guy who can go en pointe without pointe shoes pirouette for more than five times without falling!
Obviously he used to be or is a male ballet dancer.
And the last belly dancer of the night.
She looks like a bull, no offense, and her belly is kinda loose.
Not a pretty scene.
But I love it when she spins with the silver wing-like thingy.

And our entertainer for the night. He can sing so many folk songs in different languages!
For the Malaysians, he sang Rasa Sayang and it was in fluent BM!
He sang in Hindi, French, Turkish, English, BM, Italian, Spanish......
That was so cool!
And the last photo of Cihan in the bus.
After we bid farewell to Cihan in the hotel's lobby, I Facebook-ed for awhile, packed my luggage and got ready for sleep.
We were leaving Istanbul the next day and I hate goodbyes! :(
The last night in Istanbul was pretty depressing.
Knowing that after tomorrow, I'll be heading back home to Kuching, saying goodbyes to all my awesomely new awesome friends, life goes on, can't meet to have fun with my new friends, and most importantly I'm gonna miss this wonderful place so badly!
For a person like me, farewells are always tough.
I don't even know how I am going to cope with next year's class farewell. :(
